Island Peak ClimbingIsland peak is also known as Imja Tse peak is an extension of the Himalayan ridge that comes down from the south end of the Lhotse shar, situated at less than 10 kilometer away from the Everest in Himalayas. This peak was first ascended in 1953 by a British expedition team as preparation for the Everest expeditions and even today climbing Island peak is aften the first step for any climbers before any summit attempt of giant peaks in the Himalaya. This is a beautiful and best adventure climbing peak.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m /4,428 ft), transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing Tour or Permit preparation day in Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla 35 minutes flight (2800 m /9,184 ft) trek to Phakding (2652m
Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3870 m /12,694 ft) 5-6 hrs. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 07: Tengbouche to Dingboche (4410 m /14,295 ft) 5-6 hrs.Overnight at Lodge.
Day 08: Acclimatized day
Day 09: Dingbouche to Chhukung( 4,730 m /15,518 ft)- 3-4 hrs. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 10: Chhukung to Island Peak Base camp (5200 m /17,060 ft), 3-4 hrs. Overnight in tent camp.
Day 11: Island Peak High Camp (5600 m / 18,372 ft), 2-3 hrs. Overnight in tent camp
Day 12: Island Peak summit (6189 m / 20,305 ft) & return back to Chhukung, 8-10 hrs. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 13: Chhukung to Khumjung (3780 m /12,401 ft) 6-7 hrs. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 14: Khumjung to Jorsale 5-6 hrs. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 15: Jorsale to Lukla (2800 m /9,186 ft): 5 hrs. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 16: Fly to Kathmandu (1350 m /4,428 ft), transfer to hotel, rest of time relax.
Day 17: Reserve day or free day in Kathmandu
Day 18: Final departure to home
