Day 01: Arrival in Amritsar
Arrive Amristar in afternoon ex Delhi by Shatabadi Express Train. Meet on arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Wagah Border to view change of guard ceremony. Late evening visit Golden temple to view Palaki Ceremony. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Amritsar to Dharamsala (200 kms/ 6 hrs)
After breakfast visit Golden Temple. Later travel by surface from Amritsar to Dharamsala. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: In Dharamsala
Morning half day tour visiting Dalai Lama Temple and Bhagsunag Temple. Afternoon visit Norbulingka Institute and Kangra State Museum. Evening free to explore Mc Leodganj market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Dharamsala to Taragarh (51 kms/ 2 hrs)
Travel by surface from Dharamsala to Taragarh enroute visiting Chamunda Devi temple, driving past tea gardens and visiting Palampur town. Check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Tashijong monastery which also has a Tibetan Carpet centre and also visit Vaidyanath Shiva temple at Baijnath. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Taragarh to Mandi to Shimla (211 kms/ 8 hrs)
Travel by surface from Taragarh to Shimla enroute visiting Mandi town and some old temples on banks of river Beas. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.
Day 06: In Shimla
Morning half day tour visiting Indian Institute of Advanced Studies built in 1888. Situated on a hillock, this was formally the palace of the British Viceroy. Also visit the Jakho temple. Later visit Christ Church, The Mall & The Ridge. Evening free to explore The Mall the main shopping area of Shimla and The Ridge. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Shimla to Solan to Kalka (90 kms)
Morning in time transfer to Shimla railway station to board Toy Train for a joy ride till Solan. The Shimla toy train is now a World Heritage Site. From Solan the vehicle would pick you up and would be driven to Kalka station from where you connect train back to Delhi.
